This is a working policy. Eczema Guide's currently published articles have not yet been assigned to a named medical reviewer and should not be interpreted as medically reviewed content.
When medical review is required
Articles discussing diagnosis, medicines, treatment comparisons, infection warning signs, children, pregnancy, allergies, or other clinically consequential subjects should receive review from a suitably qualified healthcare professional before they are labeled medically reviewed.
Reviewer responsibilities
The reviewer should assess whether material claims are accurate, fairly qualified, consistent with current guidance, and supported by appropriate sources. Editorial clarity and final publication decisions remain the responsibility of Eczema Guide.
How review will be shown
Reviewed articles will identify the reviewer by name, link to a profile describing relevant qualifications, and display the review date. A simple author byline or an automated content check does not count as medical review.
Conflicts and independence
Reviewers will be asked to disclose financial or professional conflicts relevant to the subject. Material conflicts will be disclosed or the review will be reassigned where appropriate. Specific reviewer onboarding and re-review intervals remain to be finalized.
